Desiree Brothe

Community Engagement Manager

Desiree grew up on the high plains in Greeley, CO, and earned her BA in Art Education from the University of Northern Colorado. In 2012, she moved to Cheyenne, where she fell in love with the “Magic City of the Plains” through her work as the Program Director and Interim Executive Director for the Cheyenne Downtown Development Authority/Main Street. In 2018, she moved up to the state level with the Wyoming Business Council, where she took the opportunity to share her downtown revitalization abilities with 17 Wyoming Main Street communities.

However, Desiree’s desire to work on a local level and in the creative sector was always itching to find an outlet, and the opportunity to join West Edge Collective came at the perfect time. Today, Desiree uses her experience growing programs, facilitating strategic planning, enticing community involvement, and developing engagement with multiple organizations to embed West Edge Collective firmly in the community and ensure everyone has a place at the table.

In her spare time, Desiree acts as the chair of the Arts Cheyenne Board of Directors, gardens, works in her art studio, and spends time with her dog, two cats, and partner Sam.
