How to make your vinyl wrap last

Sep 19, 2022 | Signage

On average, large-scale exterior vinyl wraps, vehicle fleet graphics, custom vehicle wraps, and exterior vinyl signage last between 5 and 7 years before showing visible wear and tear.

In drier climates, or places with harsher weather, that vinyl wrap lifespan changes to 4 or 5 years.

To make your exterior vinyl wrap last, we recommend:

  • Keeping your wrapped vehicle in a garage as often as you can, so it’s exposed to the elements less
  • Regularly cleaning your vinyl with a mix of mild soap and water
  • Applying a vinyl-safe protectant / polish after cleaning; we’ll walk you through the products we recommend when you get your final product from us!

Much like any other investment, your exterior vinyl wrap or signage will last longer if it’s taken care of properly. We’re always happy to talk through vinyl aftercare with you after completing your wraps, vehicle fleet graphics, custom vehicle wraps, or exterior vinyl signage; just ask!
