Privacy Policy
Cheyenne Frontier Days VR App
West Edge (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is the developer of the Cheyenne Frontier Days VR application (the App) and is responsible for handling all user data. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect from you when you use the App, how we use and protect that data, and your rights regarding your information. We adhere to Meta’s privacy principles of data minimization, security, and user control throughout our data practices.
Data We Collect
- User ID: The only piece of information we collect is your unique user ID provided by the Meta Quest platform. We collect this automatically when you use the App’s online features.
We do not collect any other personal data. This means we do not collect your name, email address, physical location, contacts, photos, voice recordings, or any other personal information. The App does not access or store any content on your device beyond what is necessary to run the App.
How We Use Your Data
We use your user ID solely for internet access and online functionality in the App. In practice, this means your user ID is used to establish and manage your connection to any online features or content the App provides. For example, it may be used to verify your account for multiplayer experiences or to fetch live updates within the App. We do not use your user ID for any other purpose.
Importantly, we do not use your information for advertising, marketing, or profiling. Your user ID is not used to identify you outside of the App’s online systems, and it is never shared for marketing or advertising purposes.
No Third-Party Services Or Sharing
We do not share your data with any third-party companies or services. No external analytics providers, advertising networks, or social media platforms receive any data from this App. The handling of your user ID is done entirely by West Edge within our own systems.
Because we don’t send your data to any external services, no third parties process your user data. You can be confident that your information stays within the App and under our control at all times.
Data Storage and Security
West Edge follows strict data minimization and security practices:
- Data Minimization: We only collect the user ID we need to provide the App’s online features, and nothing more.
- Security: We protect your user ID during transmission by using secure protocols (such as HTTPS). We do not permanently store your user ID on our servers. If the App temporarily caches or logs this information to enable connectivity, it is handled securely and erased as soon as it’s no longer needed.
We take appropriate measures to safeguard the limited data we handle. Our systems are designed to prevent unauthorized access, and we regularly review our practices to ensure your data remains secure.
Requesting Data Deletion
You have full control over your data. All users, regardless of location, have the right to request deletion of their data at any time. If you want us to delete the user ID or any related data that the App may have collected about you, we will honor that request.
To request deletion of your data, please contact us using the information in the Contact section below. Simply let us know that you wish to delete your Cheyenne Frontier Days VR App data. We will delete any user data we have collected from or about you. This deletion process is offered free of charge, and you do not need to provide a reason – we will comply with the request as long as we can verify it’s coming from you.
(Note: Because our App does not store personal data beyond your user ID for connectivity, in most cases there may be very little or no data to delete. However, we will ensure any residual data is fully removed upon your request.)
Your Privacy Rights and User Control
We abide by Meta’s privacy principles to give you meaningful control over your information. Aside from the data deletion rights described above, know that:
- Transparency: We are transparent about our practices through this policy. If anything changes in how we handle data, we will update this policy to keep you informed.
- Control: You remain in control. You can choose to stop using the App or request deletion of your data at any time. Uninstalling the App will stop any further data collection immediately.
- Data Minimization: We commit to only collecting the minimal data necessary (just your user ID) to operate the App’s features.
- Security: We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data as described above.
By adhering to these principles, West Edge ensures that your privacy is respected at all stages of data handling.
Changes To This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if our data practices change or to improve clarity. If we make significant changes, we will notify users through an update in the App or on our website. The “Effective Date” at the top will always indicate when the latest changes were made. We encourage you to review this policy from time to time to stay informed about how we protect your information.
