A larger-than-life video project for Visit Cheyenne
Creating memorable experiences for visitors is what Visit Cheyenne does best—and when we get an opportunity to #makeitmemorable with them? We’re all in.
They asked: Could we create an engaging visual “show” to play on the facade of Cheyenne’s historic train depot, highlighting Cheyenne’s culture and the elements that make it unique?
We said: This sounds like an incredible opportunity to play with a laser projector and refine our skills with Resolume Arena.
First, we created a highlight reel of Cheyenne’s great outdoors, our western culture/history, and “Cheyenne Chic.”
Next, we spent a few summer nights at the depot itself, experimenting with the best way to project our video footage. Laser projector in tow, we problem-solved to figure out: How could we properly “map” the projection to ensure it would fit the depot’s facade just right? What was the best way to adjust our video so it would stand out against the depot’s tan-and-red sandstone material?
The larger-than-life final result is a celebration of what makes Cheyenne special—and a great example of what happens when you set out to #makeitmemorable
